If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join our Production team! This role will be based at our Manufacturing site in Folkstone, Kent.
This role will manage our Production team, operating fast paced and technological manufacturing lines. The role is responsible for mentoring and supporting the team to develop their competencies to meet the requirements of our manufacturing technology. The Shift Manager will be dependable for ensuring we achieve the best cost, correct standard quality and targeted efficiency.
Key skills and competencies that are essential to this role include: extensive experience in cooperating a team within a manufacturing or similar environment. Excellent communication skills are also essential to relay information to colleagues at all levels of the organization and to liaise with external partners as needed. Enthusiasm and experience in leading and participating in cross functional and continuous improvement projects is also essential to this role.
Education and Experience Includes:
- Extensive experience of leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of robotics and automated manufacturing technology, including fault finding and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, able to relay information to colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience of leading and/or participating in continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma or Lean would be an advantage).
- ‘Lean’ experience would be an advantage. (waste reduction, 5S and SMED particularly)
